Submission
James 4:5-12 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8a Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.
I Peter 2:13-25; 3:1-12 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For this is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
I Peter 3:8-12 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. 10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 11 Let him eschew (shun) evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
When we follow the will of God and the promises that always accompany obedience, Faith believes in them, Hope anticipates them, Patients quietly waits for them.
We also know that when we try to manipulate the hand of God according to our impatience, we suffer the consequences.
Examples of disobedience and their consequences: I Samuel 15:9-33 Read Saul and Samuel
Saul for fear of the people, not the obedience to God and His commandment, lost the kingdom and he and his sons lives.
Genesis 15-17 Sara's impatience and trying to help God fulfill His promise led to anger, strife, murder, pain and contention even unto this very day. The twelve Arab tribes came from Ishmael.
Genesis 16:9 And the Angel of Yahuweh said unto her. Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands. Ephesians 6:5-9
Father, guide us to wisdom by the Holy Spirit who dwells inside each of the believers in your Son Yahushua. That by our obedience to the Spirit through your Word which is the sword of the Spirit, peace, forgiveness, love, healing, in our lives abound. That, blessings you have for each one of us are not missed. That we may enjoy life more abundantly and serve with vigor your kingdom, knowing with faith, hope, and patients as we witness our lives are examples. Let there be power in our lives for our families, friends, and enemies to see your Son dwelling in us. May your kingdom be filled by the life we submit to according to your Word the testimony of your Son seen in us.
Ephesians 6:11 Finally, my brethren, be strong in Yahushua, and in the power of His might.
Halle lu Yahuweh peace, love, joy in the Holy Ghost!
