II Corinthians 1:21-22 21Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
What evidence do you have that you have been sealed?
Galatians 5:22-25 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Ephesians 1:13-14 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Holy Spirit of Promise?
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace (divine influence upon your heart and it’s reflection in life) and truth came by Jesus Christ.
How do you know you have crucified the flesh?
Ephesians 4:30 22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 25Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. 26Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27Neither give place to the devil. 28Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. 29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Some denominations teach you can lose your salvation. Scripture clearly shows you are sealed (protected and preserved) by His Holy Spirit. You can not lose it, it isn’t yours to lose. Salvation is of God and by God.
You still have free choice we can chose not to serve God! Than we subject ourselves to the law and chastisement and not grace which is the Spirit. It is grace, the Spirit of God that people see or don’t see in our lives and the words we speak. This book which was divinely influenced to be written is our guide. People say God spoke to me! Well what was said had better line up with scripture or it is not God speaking.
Father let the fear of Yahuweh rule our hearts in love of Your great work being done in our lives by Your Son’s Spirit.
